“Your dreams are worth fighting for – never let anyone tell you otherwise.”
Their Story
Francesca Straker, known as Frankie, is a driven and inspiring 17-year-old who has turned personal challenges into a powerful source of confidence and purpose. After struggling with body image and self-belief, Frankie found empowerment through rugby and now proudly represents her county, embracing the sport as a space where she feels strong, confident, and heard.
The Achievement
Frankie uses her voice and creativity to inspire others through impactful digital content for Dallaglio RugbyWorks, celebrating women in sport and encouraging young people to get involved. She speaks with authenticity at events, sharing her journey to motivate others, and in her role as Youth Animator – Head of Highlights, she supports and mentors young people to build confidence, explore their interests, and tell their own stories. She is also developing her own content series, Beyond the Breakdown, which will further amplify young voices by combining sport, storytelling, and real-life experiences.
The Impact
Through rugby, storytelling, and mentorship, Frankie is helping challenge stereotypes and create positive change for young people, particularly young women. By turning her own experiences into empowerment for others, she continues to open doors, build confidence, and inspire those around her to dare to dream—both on and off the pitch.
